Go to the control panel and open the firewall icon.

Either restart the Host (right-click the Host icon and select Restart Host) or restart the Host PC. In reply to Cannot connect to Windows 2K3 server using Remote Desktop.

Alternatively, you can double click on the ru_settings.reg file to import the settings to the registry. The script will import the Host settings back into the registry.

When the CMD window appears press any key to run the script.

I recently removed the dock and all of its drivers permanently. This introduced a third and unnecessary graphics driver, one that is of lower quality than the other two. There were no problems with the initial upgrade to Windows 10. Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) has been a feature of Windows since the XP Pro days. It was originally a Windows 7 Pro machine, but I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro in May 2016. I have a Lenovo W530 that I use for presentations and also for connecting to HDTV at home.
